FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama Theatre will present the timeless classic A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens.
Performances are Nov. 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 20 at 2:00 p.m. School performances will take place Nov. 17, 18 and 21 at 9:30 a.m. All performances will take place in Norton Auditorium.
A Christmas Carol is a holiday classic that shows the true meaning of the season. Ebenezer Scrooge is a grouch and miser, never having a kind word or sympathetic thought, particularly at Christmas. However, when the ghost of his former business partner warns him of his impending damnation, Scrooge is given the chance to change his ways. To save his eternal soul, Scrooge must undergo a visit by three ghosts looking to transform him with the true spirit of Christmas. This is a holiday family favorite and the best way to kick-off the holiday season.
General admission is $5 for students and $15 for adults. For school presentations, admission is $3 per student; teachers admitted free. Additional chaperones are $3 each.
